about
I have been thinking a lot lately about human behavior. How much of what we do on a daily basis is out of a desire to fit in and do what is expected of us? When we do good, helpful things for one another, do we do it out of love or out of wanting to be seen as a good person? Are any of us really good? So many questions. I have a deep need to believe that people can really change and not just get better at faking it, which requires the transformative power of something higher than ourselves.
lyrics
I have heard whispers while your back was turned
That you could shed light on the darkest of hearts
with just one word
I have seen many a winter turn into spring
I know I don't deserve anything, but could you do that for me?
Can we really change?
Or do we just get better at pretending?
I want to change
Because I'm tired of pretending
Can you give me something real?
Can you give me something real?
Can you give me something real
