I don't like or trust new people very easily. Sometimes it takes YEARS to be able to let my guard down enough to be real with someone. Every once in a while, I meet someone who I like and trust right away, and I always fight back the momentary panic of trying to figure out how to help them see beyond my strangeness to the gold beneath it. This is a song about that moment of panic before I can talk myself into chilling out. So enter into my inner life for a moment and take a look around, if you dare.
lyrics
I've been on the fringes
Waiting for a sign
Looking from the corner
Of my eye wondering why
You won't let me in
I am not easily moved
At least until I met you
It gets so dark inside my mind sometimes
I just want to stand beside your warmth and your light
So Let me in
Why don't you, why don't you, why don't you
LET ME IN
